A bold and rich malt matured in French oak casks; specifically Limousin oak from the Dordogne region where it’s often used to mature cognacs. The low density allows whisky to sink deep into the wood. A sweet malt with spiced undertones and a beautiful deep golden colour.
The nose is creamy and rich, like a fruit crumble. On the palate fruit and nut cake with some subtle spices. The finish is of a long length, peppery and nutty but smooth.
