Old Forester, the first bourbon ever to be bottled and labelled as a brand, was created in 1870 by pharmacist George Brown to ensure quality and prevent counterfeiting. Today, the legacy continues under the stewardship of his descendants, who also oversee the Jack Daniel’s portfolio.
As a nod to the original batching process used by Old Forester's founder, George Garvin Brown, this Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey combines liquid from three different warehouses.
Nose:
Medicinal notes spice up a medley of orange and grapefruit, blood orange, softened with a delicate and sweet floral honeysuckle nose.
Palate:
Baking spices (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg) flow into a citrus-fruit mix and shortbread sweetness.
Finish:
Soft, with lingering fruit and spice character.
