The first of the Johnnie Walker Blender’s Batch series released in 2016, the experimental series was designed to push boundaries and innovate the market. Starting in ex bourbon barrels, this unique blend of the finest single malts and grain whiskies is then moved to ex-rye casks to add to spices and fruitiness. It took more than 50 experiments to create this ultimate blend.
The nose is slightly nutty, almonds and pecans before notes of oriental spices shine through. On the palate a slight spice is mixed with chocolate orange and honeycomb. The finish is a mix of spices and Mediterranean citrus.
