Jack Daniel's No. 27 Gold is based on the original Old No. 7 but it has been double barrelled and double charcoal-mellowed. Firstly, charred in American oak before finishing in golden hued maple wood barrels for a richer, warmer finish. On the nose expect a soft vanilla, caramel and smoky oak. On the palate a sweet caramelized fruit, notes of vanilla and nuts. The finish is of medium length and silky smooth, summer fruits, oak and caramel.
