Who else could represent a house as famous as this? Rich, powerful and known by all! They sat on the throne with a large army and large deposits of gold, there was nothing they would not do to hold onto the throne. Filled in ex-bourbon casks, this single malt has the strength of the lion but won't leave you low on your gold!
The nose is smoky and full of delight. Sea salt, citrus and a bit more smoke!
On the palate rich peat smoke mixed with sweet notes of caramelized sugar and vanilla. Some light zest and maritime salts.
The finish is again peat lead with subtle caramel tones.
As expected the palate is smoky and rich. Vanilla and care male notes are present throughout, short bursts of tropical fruits and juicy sweets make welcomed appearances.
