This malt celebrates the old traders of Port Ruighe ('Port Ree'). A very powerful yet sweet malt, released with no age statement and finished in port wine casks as you’d expect.
On the nose an array of maritime minerals balanced well with sweet plums and smoky oak. On the palate, an initial spicy flavour diminishes into a creamy and fruity malt with a peaty smoke undertone. The finish is long and rich, like a chocolate infused cigar.
