The flagship release from Talisker is their 10-year-old single malt. A much talked about award winning malt, awarded the best islands single malt in 2017 at the ‘World Whiskies Awards’, also receiving a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirit Competition in 2017. This golden malt is smooth and silky.
On the nose a strong peaty aroma, mixed with maritime minerals and a dash of citrus. On the palate a dry smoky flavour, malted barley and dried winter fruits. The finish is very long, very warm, and quite spicy. Sweet notes approach towards the end.
