Part of the triple cask range; the Macallan 18 Year Old was matured in a combination of European, American sherry seasoned oak casks and American ex-bourbon oak casks. A legendary whisky from a legendary distillery, both velvety smooth with some delightful earthy wood spice.
The nose is full of flavour, very intriguing. Coconut ice-cream, vanilla, dried orange and flower petals.
The palate is soft, velvety with a hint of spice. Orange, vanilla, sandalwood, nutmeg, cinnamon and wood spice.
The finish is long and smooth, vanilla, chocolate, orange, raisins and some wood smoke.
