The Glenfarclas 25 year old is an absolute gem and is a firm favourite among the team. The Speyside distillery mature this single malt in 100% Olorosso sherry casks and results do not disappoint.
On the nose it’s a complex mix of homemade marmalade, honey and all the pleasing notes from sherry. To taste is a sheer delight; stylishly smooth yet robust and clean. The oak and sherry work harmoniously as hazelnuts, dried fruits and chocolate come through. The finish is long as the flavours continue to fight for your attention; malt, burnt wood and intense cocoa. An absolute star in its class.
