Aged Islay whiskies are hard to come by and this doesn't disappoint. Sourced from an undisclosed distillery and bottled by the character of Islay Whisky company this 25 year old expression is gracefully complex, maritime influences, sweet notes and smoke, everything you'd expect and more.
The nose is mysterious and enticing. Lots of maritime influences, sea salt, driftwood, wild heather, oak, caramel, vanilla, apples and citrus!
The palate is also just as complex. Firewood, toffee, caramel, apricot jam, barley, wood spice, and smoked almonds. Very delightful!
The finish is smokey with juicy citrus undertones.
