A divine 17-year-old Highland single malt from Blair Athol, sweet and slightly oaty. That Boutique-y Whisky Company hint at a popular blended whisky that Blair Athol goes into (*Hint, look at the shape of the bushes!) with their ever so stylish comic graphic on the label.
The nose is slightly earthy, mint leaves and clove before a fruity number develops, apricot, apples and nectarines. The palate is oaty, with notes of honey, caramel, and cinnamon. A very tasty dram indeed! The finish is sweet also, the notes of honey and caramel suck around.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company is an independent bottler, you can expect single malts, single grains and bourbons from all from renowned distilleries. They also produce world-renowned blended whiskies and blended malts. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels
