When you become a legend in an industry and master of the Irish pot still, it’s only fair to have a whiskey made to celebrate you. This whiskey is made as a tribute to the amazing work Brian Nation does as head distiller, named accordingly to highlight his intuitive skill in control of the distillers safe, where he must determine the quality of the whiskey just by looking at it.
On the nose expect a floral sweetness followed by spices, brown sugar and marzipan. The palate is sweet, again brown sugar, cinnamon and tarragon. Strong notes of dried orange and ground almonds shine through. The finish is of medium length and tangy, almonds and barley make a small appearance.
