Michter’s US*1 Unblended American Whiskey is a truly unique, quality whiskey from the Michter’s distillery that utilises only the finest ingredients and traditional techniques. This whiskey is not categorised as a bourbon as it isn’t aged in new oak but rather “bourbon-soaked” barrels that have previously held Michter’s 10 Year Old Bourbon. This maturation adds a richness and sweetness to the whiskey which displays notes of butterscotch, ripe fruits, maple syrup and a hint of crème Brulé.
On the nose expect sweet notes, stone fruit, buttery wafts and some warming spice. The palate offers further spice, butterscotch and a leathery mouthfeel. The finish lingers with spice most prominent.
