The Dalmore 15 year old single malt whisky is as elegant as you would imagine; smooth, rich and well-rounded and we know why. It spends twelve years maturing in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then for the remainder its character is brought to life in different sherry woods - Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem oloroso sherry casks.
On the nose expect homemade marmalade and scents from Christmas including grated nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate will instantly identify notes of chocolate, vanilla and orange whilst the finish continues with a malty and coffee bean expression.
