A stunning example of an aged single malt from the Bowmore Distillery. This 27-year-old expression from Islay is smoky and a must try! On the bottle graphic, you can see a lifeguard running around the distillery, this is because the heat from the distillation process is used to heat the nearby swimming pool!
The nose is malty with maritime features, sea salt, driftwood and some smoke. The palate is slightly fruity, some apples and pears married perfectly with smoky notes. I think another glass is needed! The finish is slightly oily, slightly smoky with apple notes too.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company is an independent bottler, you can expect single malts, single grains and bourbons from all from renowned distilleries. They also produce world-renowned blended whiskies and blended malts. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels
