Glenfarclas 1988 (Cask 6986)
- Volume - 70cl
- ABV - 53.3%
Out of stock
Bottled as part of the Glenfarclas Family Cask first releases, which is one of the largest and rarest collections of vintage whiskies from a distillery. This particular bottle was bottled on the 3rd of November 2017 after maturing in a refill sherry hogsheads. It is one of 507 bottles.
The nose is complex, summery and fruity; notes of orchard fruits, pineapples, raspberries and cherry. Honeycomb, vanilla and chalk are also present too.
The palate is also complex and delicious, oaky with a mix of herbs and sweet flavour profiles. Spicy oak, barley, sandalwood, pineapple, apple, vanilla, and some baked rye bread. No alcohol burns here, just pure delight! The finish is slightly velvety with some subtle spices, herbs and smoke.
