The Kavalan Manzanilla sherry single cask is one of the limited Solist releases. The cask has previously held Manzanilla sherry which is a pale, dry sherry from the Andalusia region of Spain. “Manzanilla” is said to translate to chamomile in Spanish, and the flavour of this sherry is said to be similar to chamomile tea.
The nose is of Fresh fruit: Green apples, pineapple, pear, chopped herbs and coffee beans.
The palate develops notes of citrus peel and strawberry liquorice, with a pinch of sea-salt.
The finish is reminiscent of juicy raisins and a homemade jam.
This single cask strength single malt is highly sort after and we know why, it's a joy to savour!
