The Caol Ila 18 year old single malt from the Islay region offers mellow and mature notes from the start. The additional ageing process helps stem the excessive phenol & peat which makes this 18 year old perfectly pleasant on the palate.
On the nose expect leafy, herbal and creamy malts. On the palate peat is clearly evident but it is complimented by a pinpoint sweetness, smokiness and barley. The finish is long with herbal notes and continuing aromas from the palate.
