This Bottled In Bond small batch straight Bourbon Whiskey from the Wilderness Trail distillery in Kentucky comprises of a rye mash bill at 64% corn, 24% rye and 12% malted barley and is one of the highest ratios of rye used in Bourbon made in Kentucky. It’s matured in toasted and charred barrels (12 in total!) and the result is sweet & spicy bourbon that slips down a treat. On the nose expect charred wood with hint of sweetness. The palate offers a touch of citrus peel, oakiness, sweet stewed berries and vanilla. The finish has a warming cinnamon spice and further fruit.
