The Half-Century Blend is the third release by The Blended Whisky Company launched late in 2016. The blend is as it says, at least 50 years old. A great opportunity to try old expressions before the whisky boom.
The nose is reminiscent of apple pie, leather, orange peel and grain. Notes of sandal wood cinnamon and tobacco creep in at the end. The palate is velvety and full of fruit. Apricot, passion fruit, cigars and vanilla. A great experience all round!
