Gold medal winner at the World Whisky Awards in the Irish Single Malt category. This is the third release from the ‘Trinity Range’ with no age statement. What we do know is it is made from five different casks, including a malt whiskey from 1991 and vatted in five different wine casks (Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy, Cabernet Sauvignon).
The nose is very fruity! Melons’ grapes, apples mango, oranges and pear. A subtle hint of leather, tobacco and spices start to shine through. The palate is very inviting, a full array of flavours are to come. Charred wood, butterscotch, oat biscuits and that lovely mix of fruits to follow; mango, grapes, oranges, apples and pears.
